Roy Nexus 6
If i was forced to narrow down the list of movies that really changed me and/or inspired me to do what I do for a living, Blade Runner would be there. You can add Alien to that and then be surprised not to see any framed photo of Ridley Scott in my apartment. That’s because I’d probably choose Coppola over all anyway ^^
So here’s my tribute to the “cultissime” Roy Nexus 6.
Direct reference to that iconic sequence “I’ve seen things blablabla… then flap flap flap”, I decided to turn it into something rrreally illustrative and almost “album cover friendly”.
Initially designed for silkscreen, I may have to tweak it a bit to make it work, or not… We’ll see. I’d like to get some of that loose feel into the final print…
Oh and yeah, there’s shit loads of colors and my fella Silkscreen boy may hate me for this but life is about challenges right ?
Hope you’ll enjoy.
Cheers
Z.
“Billy The Kid” - A Giclée Print by Loic Zimmermann on INPRNT
“The day Billy the Kid got ambushed by a horde of zombie potatoes”
This illustration is inspired by a photo-shoot I did in mid July with a great model I met at Korpus (school of Art). For this one I wanted to stick to the plan and I didn’t deviate that much from the source material, except for the colors as always.
Yes, it’s from scratch.
Yes it took me forever, but I also chose to take my time.
And I hope you’ll enjoy.
